Dear Friends in Christ,
Bulletin Letter 9/27/26
As we transition from the quiet time of summer into the busy parish life at Christ the King Parish, I know many of you are interested in an update on our Pastoral Planning Process and whether Archbishop Henning has responded to our proposal to consolidate on the Saint Agnes Campus.
In the July 19th bulletin, I provided a status report on this subject. There is no further information to share at this time, but since some of you may have missed seeing it, below are some extracts for your review:
"Recently, Archbishop Henning informed me that they are still waiting for an engineering report on Saint Athanasius Church before the Archbishop can make his final decision. Given the significance of this decision, I certainly understand why he wants to ensure that everything has been carefully considered. Just as our Pastoral Planning Committee spent many months prayerfully discerning and thoroughly examining every aspect of the proposal, the Archbishop is doing the same before making his decision.
While I know that waiting is never easy, I want to encourage all of us not to let this time of uncertainty become a source of anxiety or division. Instead, let us use it as an opportunity to deepen our trust in the Lord and remain united as one parish family.
As we continue to await the Archbishop's decision, I ask you to pray for him and for one another. Let us remain united in Christ, support one another with charity, and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. No matter what the future holds, we are one parish family, and if we continue to walk together in faith and love, the Lord will continue to bless and guide Christ the King Parish."
While waiting, I encourage you to bring your questions and concerns to me and the parish leadership. While we may not have all the answers, we will certainly listen and work with you for a resolution.
Once we hear from the Archbishop, we will communicate with you directly and promptly. We will also share our plans and path forward to make Christ the King Parish the spiritual home for all our parishioners.
