Christ the King Parish’s Ministry of Bereavement team outreaches to spouses, adult children, siblings or other family members of the deceased by sending notes of support in the first year of loss, as well as a personal phone call to check in with the grieving.The Bereavement Ministry based upon:- The Corporal Work of Mercy to bury the dead
- The Spiritual Work of mercy to comfort the sorrowful
- The Beatitude: "Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted."

The Christ the King Parish believes that no one should grieve alone. In service and support of our parishioners and community, the Ministry of Bereavement assists our pastor and clergy in providing bereavement and spiritual support for parishioners who have experienced the death of a family member or friend. Volunteers are needed to:
- Attend Funerals
- Send notes and cards to bereaved parishioners. This may be done from the comfort of your home.
