The purpose of the Video Live Streamer is to broadcast the designated “livestream” Mass(es) using the video streaming equipment installed in each church
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Livestream Mass over the internet using the video streaming equipment
Ministers should only serve one ministry position per mass unless there is no one else available to serve one or other essential positions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior to serving - In our ongoing efforts to provide a Safe Environment for all and to comply with Archdiocesan requirements, all volunteers must complete an annual CORI (download) (Criminal Offender Record Information) form. In addition, all those in Liturgical ministries, must complete a one-time “Protecting God’s Children" (PGC) Training.
Able to follow a queue card for operating the livestreaming app on an iPad
Able to improvise with various shots during Mass as needed
For example, adjust camera angle to broadcast priest giving homily from the floor in front of the altar as opposed to the ambo
Be presentable and dress appropriately. (This does not mean suits for the men and formals for the women. Also, it does not mean ragged blue jeans, cut-offs, and tank tops.)
Open to adults, teenagers, or youths under parental supervision
PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS:
Before Mass
Arrive 20 minutes before Mass
Report to the Sacristy and let the Mass Volunteer Coordinator know you are here
Get the iPad out of the closet in the sacristy and turn it on to make sure it has enough battery power for the entire Mass
Proceed to the back of church
During Mass
Open the livestream app and activate the stream five (5) minutes before Mass starts
Signal to Lector #1, one (1) minute before Mass starts, to proceed with the before-Mass announcements
Follow the queue card for camera shots during the Mass
After Mass
Put away the iPad in the secured closet in the sacristy.
