What is Family Faith Formation?

Family-Centered Faith Formation Ministry
- Monthly Family Session
  
  A part of the Faith Formation Ministry, Monthly Family Sessions provide faith-filled, informative experiences for every member of your family.
  Opening October Family Sessions (choose one):
  Sunday, October 5th: 9:45 AM - 11:00 AM
  Wednesday, October 8th: 6:15 PM - 7:30 PM
  Attendance Requirements:
  All families - at least one parent with child/ren - are required to attend one Family Session per month, There are two options for Family Sessions each month: a Sunday morning session and a Wednesday evening session. Each session is 1 hour and 15 minutes long. Please use the Sign-Up Genius below to select your preferred session time.
  Important:
  Please sign up at least a week in advance for your monthly session to help us plan accordingly.
  
  We are looking forward to beginning this new ministry and answering any questions you may have during our October Family Sessions.

- Student Small Groups
  
  A second component of the Faith Formation Ministry is composed of Student-only Small Groups. Once a month - on a different date as the Family Session - students meet, much along the line of the previous years' "classes".

- What is Family Faith Formation?
  New to Christ the King Parish for 2025-2026, Family Faith Formation is a new model of catechesis for families with children in K-6. Family Faith Formation offers a three-year Flagship Series of lessons that align with the Church's three-year liturgical cycle, supporting families in developing traditions practiced within each liturgical season of the Church.
  These family-focused and Christ-centered lessons introduce families to a living encounter with Christ, responding to Pope Francis’ call for the Kerygma (Gospel Message) to become the center of all evangelizing activity, beginning in the home.
  The Family Faith Formation model provides our parish's families with the support needed to better balance their spiritual lives with family life: making time for Formation, Prayer, Worship and Fellowship.
