What is Cursillo? (Pronounced Cur-see-yo)
Cursillo is an invitation for all to experience the love of Jesus on a more personal level and to bring this love into daily life. It is a tool for renewal and continued spiritual growth which enables us to be more effective Christian leaders in our parish, homes and workplaces. The Christ the King Cursillo community is affiliated with St Basil's Salvatorian Center and Seminary in Methuen, MA, which offers a three day "short course in Christianity". It is open to all Christians who are at least 21 years of age and runs monthly (October-June) alternating between men and women's weekends. The weekend is led by spiritual directors (priests, deacons, brothers and sisters) and lay people from many different parishes who lead the candidates in talks, sharing, prayer services and divine liturgies. Although one can only live Cursillo once, many return from their weekend with renewed faith and the desire to become a disciple in their home and parish.What is Ultreya?
Ultreya is a monthly gathering of those looking to deepen their faith. You do not have to have lived Cursillo to attend. All are warmly welcomed! Ultreya at Christ the King parish is held every second Friday of the month during the Cursillo Season (October - June) in the parish center at the St Agnes campus of the parish.

What is a sponsor?
A member of the Christ the King Cursillo community will sponsor each person that attends the weekend. The sponsor serves as a guide and mentor for the candidate embodying the phrase "make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Christ."Applications:

You've Lived Your Cursillo . . . What Next?
What is reunion group?
A small supportive group of men or women who have lived Cursillo. The "cursillistas" meet regularly to share their journey, pray together and support each other in piety (personal relationship with Jesus), study (becoming a stronger Christian through studying) and action (sharing the love of Jesus with others).Have you lived a Cursillo and would like to connect and receive ongoing information for the community at Christ the King Parish?
