Sunday Schedule: Year 1 / Youth Mass / Year 2 4:15p Year 1 Class 2nd Floor Parish Center; Classes will become "small groups" and be assigned a table 5:15p - 5:30p Prepare for Mass - Year 1: students/catechists will leave the 2nd Floor of PC at 5:15 and go directly to the church
- Year 2: students/catechists are expected to be in the church at 5:15p

Faith In Action: Confirmation Credit System Overview
PURPOSE: To encourage regular practices of Catholic life including Mass, Prayer, Service, and Community
GOAL: Earn 10 credits each year in the Confirmation Program
1 Activity = 1 Credit
Service = 1 Credit per Hour

If your family has a conflict with your assigned date, please use THIS FORM to let me know.This Sunday’s Youth Mass & Class DetailsStudents should know their Table # and Group Leader’s name for this weekend. They can jot it down on a note or store it in their phone to help find their pew at Mass and smoothly transition into their small group after.- Arrival Time: Please arrive at 5:15 PM for the 5:30 Mass.
- Families are encouraged to attend! You’ll be seated in the pews behind the students.
- Student Notebooks: These will be provided in class and will stay with their group leaders—no need to bring them back each week.
- Phones: Students should bring their phones but keep them out of sight until instructed. We may use them for Scripture lookups and digital resources.

Ministry Fair – after the 4p, 8:30a, 10a, & 11:30a Masses this weekend in the Parish Center- Visit the Youth Ministry table to learn about our 2026 Youth Service Trip to Catholic Heart Workcamp in North Haledon, NJ (July 19–24, 2026).
- Past campers will be there to share their experiences.
- The trip is open to all students currently in grade 8 or higher.

Hello Confirmation Families,
Thank you to those who were able to attend our meeting—I loved seeing so many of you there. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone the weekend of Oct 18/19 – whether it’s the Family Hike, Ministry Fair, Youth Mass, or Confirmation classes - we have lots happening!
Here are the slides from the presentation: 25-26 Confirmation Preparation- Slide 2 includes links to everything you need: this year’s calendar, the schedule for Confirmation Class/Mass Sundays, expectations regarding attendance, earning Confirmation credits, submitting sponsor info and Saint name, and links for service opportunities and forms.
- Year 2 Families: Please note the proposed new retreat date (March 7) conflicts with the Sophomore Semi. I am already working on rescheduling it.
- Slide 3 includes a link for families to indicate what gifts they’d like to share with us. As I mentioned, we can’t do this without volunteers.
- Slide 4 highlights St. Carlo Acutis and how his love for the Eucharist transformed his family. Check out the interview with his mom—hosted by Chris Stefanik, who also plays a big role in our program this year.
Group assignments: Year 2 students will receive an email with their small group leader’s name and table number by Oct 9 (if they were in the program last year, they will continue with the same group), and Year 1 will receive theirs by Oct 15. All groups will meet on the 2nd floor of the parish center. With almost 150 students in each session, we are not able to accommodate requests for specific group placements. Please trust that every group will be a space to grow in faith and community. And don’t worry—there will be many opportunities for your teen to spend time with friends at youth groups, service projects, and parish events.
Thank you again for your partnership in helping our teens grow in faith. I can’t wait to see what God will do this year!

This week, several of our Christ the King (CTK) parish programs are getting underway for the year. If you’ve ever felt like you’re longing for something more, our faith reminds us that we are Made for More! — more connection, more meaning, more joy.
The week's bulletin has all you need to know, but I’d like to highlight a few opportunities in particular:- Women’s Group — first meeting Tues 9/30; A great place for moms to connect and learn how our faith can strengthen us. (Come when you can; no need to commit to the whole year!)
- Faith & Fellowship Program — kickoff Thurs 10/2; Join a small group for fellowship and faith sharing; this season's book is A Biblical Walk Through the Mass by Dr. Edward Sri
- Made for Worship: 4-Week Homily Series — begins weekend of 10/4
- Confirmation Kick-Off: Sunday, October 5, Join us at the 11:30 Mass followed by our Candidate & Family Meeting.
- Ministry Fair — after all Masses the weekend of 10/18; come explore all the parish has to offer and see how you can share your gifts with us

I’m excited to begin this year with all of you as we step into a new format and new program — Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation.Why Chosen?This program is dynamic, engaging, and designed to speak directly to teens. Every student will receive the same teachings, while our small group model ensures they have a safe space to reflect, discuss, and build friendships. Students will sit in small groups at tables on the 2nd floor of the Parish Center. Lessons and videos will be presented to the entire group at once, while small group sharing and discussions will happen at their tables. Each table group will essentially function as their “class.”Program Expectations- Attend Confirmation Kick Off meeting on Sunday, October 5 — Join us for the 11:30 AM Mass at St. Agnes Church and stay for the meeting immediately following in the church.
- Attend Class & Mass regularly; 12 sessions total (Year 2 includes a Saturday retreat instead of one Sunday class).
- Earn 10 Confirmation Credits (experiences that help teens live their faith — things like Mass, Adoration, service, and parish events).
We know life is busy! Sports, drama, dance, and family events will sometimes conflict — and that’s okay. But in most cases, the time commitment for Confirmation is lighter than many of the other activities your teens are already part of. We ask for your support in encouraging them to give these 12 Sundays their “Yes.” Sometimes it just takes a quick conversation with a coach or director to make space for that one hour — and it can make a big difference in their faith journey.Beyond the ClassroomConfirmation prep isn’t just about the classroom — it’s about living the Catholic faith. This year we’re excited to offer:- Parish-Wide Outdoor Mass & Picnic: THIS Sunday, September 14 at 10:30 AM, St. Athanasius Lawn. Click HERE for details.
- Seasonal Events such as our Family Hike → Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 AM, Charles W. Ward Reservation in Andover. A chance to get outdoors, build community, and enjoy God’s creation together.
- First Sundays Youth Group (Nov–May, 5:30–7:00 PM) → Service, snacks, games, and community. Teens will have a chance to live their faith in fun and meaningful ways.
- Ongoing Service Opportunities → We’ll continue to partner with parish ministries and community organizations to help teens grow into a habit of serving others, just as Jesus did.

Will You Fan the Flames?With over 200 students across Grades 7–10, we need a strong team of adults to walk alongside our teens as they grow in faith through prayer, service, and community. Whether you lead a small group, track attendance, set up a Sign Up Genius, shop for supplies, supervise service projects, play games, or support our Youth Mass, your gifts of time and presence will make a difference. All volunteers will be supported in their role — and by serving, you’ll find your own faith and connection to our parish community grow deeper.How will you support us? Confirmation Name & Sponsor Form
One of the traditional practices in the Church at the time of Confirmation is choosing a name that will remind you of this sacrament and to signify your new and deeper awareness of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. If the choice is made to add a new name, it is to be a Christian name. It should reflect a saint whom you can admire and imitate.Choosing Your Confirmation Name
Candidates are required to choose a Saint's name to become their Confirmation name and should be a person they wish to emmulate. If you are choosing to use your given name as your Confirmation Name, you will write your given name on the online form.

Our Community welcomes you and your family to join us on the journey with your candidate the next two years of their preparation for the sacrament and beyond! We are a family orientated community that is actively embracing it's role in the works of Missionary Discipleship. It is important that when Confirmed each young person is encouraged to serve the Church with their God given talents as well as feel confident to evangelize others, a Sponsor's support is vital.
Choosing your sponsor is one of the most important decisions that students will make during the preparation process. It requires discernment and prayer. A sponsor needs to be willing and able to make the faith journey with the candidate.

To make this program a success, we are seeking dedicated volunteers. All volunteers will be supported in their efforts, and by serving this program. You will be rewarded with a deeper faith and a stronger connection within our Parish community.
